Outer Left Rear Door Seal for HOLDEN FE FC FB EK SEDAN OR WAGON
Outer Left Rear Door Seal for HOLDEN FE FC FB EK SEDAN OR WAGON
Replacement outer left rear door rubber seal for Holden FE, FC, FB and EK Sedan and Wagon models. Designed to fit around the outer sealing area of the left rear passenger door, helping prevent water, dust and wind noise from entering the vehicle's interior.
Over time, original door rubbers can become hardened, cracked, flattened or perished due to age, sunlight and general wear. Worn seals can leave gaps between the door and surrounding bodywork, allowing moisture and road dust into the cabin and contributing to unwanted wind noise while driving.
This replacement outer left rear door seal helps restore the original sealing function of the rear passenger door while providing cushioning between the door and body. Ideal for replacing deteriorated door rubbers during panel repairs, resprays and classic Holden restorations.

Installation Notes:
Before installation, inspect the existing left rear door seal for cracks, splits, flattening, shrinkage or other signs of deterioration.
Carefully remove the original rubber seal, noting its position, orientation and attachment method around the rear door.
Remove any remaining adhesive, old rubber fragments, dirt or debris from the sealing area. Take care not to damage the surrounding paintwork or interior trim.
Inspect the rear door edges and surrounding bodywork for rust, corrosion, damaged paint or previous repairs. Pay particular attention to the lower door area and corners where moisture can collect.
Repair any damaged metal or paintwork before fitting the replacement seal. Ensure freshly painted surfaces have fully cured before installation.
Compare the replacement rubber with the original seal to confirm the correct profile, shape, length and fitting arrangement.
Position the new seal around the outer left rear door sealing area, following the original rubber placement.
Work gradually around the door, ensuring the rubber sits evenly through the corners without twisting, stretching or bunching.
Where required by the original attachment method, use a suitable automotive weatherstrip adhesive. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's preparation and curing instructions.
Once fitted, carefully close the left rear door and check that the rubber compresses evenly against the surrounding bodywork.
Check that the door closes and latches correctly without excessive force. Inspect the seal for sections that may be folded, pinched or incorrectly positioned.
After installation, carry out a controlled water test around the rear door to check for leaks. Inspect the surrounding interior trim and floor area for moisture entry.
Installation Tip: New door rubbers can initially feel firmer than old, compressed seals. Allow the replacement rubber time to settle into position before making adjustments to the door hinges or striker. If the door becomes difficult to close, check that the rubber is correctly seated first.
