Returns Policy


Returns
Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange except as required under Australian Consumer Law.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.


Non-Refundable Items
Certain items cannot be returned or refunded due to their custom-made or made-to-order nature, except where they are faulty or do not comply with Australian Consumer Law. These items include but are not limited to:

  • Sun visors
  • Carpets
  • Dash mats
  • Auto shades
  • Gift cards

Please choose carefully before ordering these items. If you are unsure, please contact us at info@retrospares.com.au before completing your purchase.


Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

A major failure occurs when:

  • the goods are significantly different from their description or sample,
  • they are substantially unfit for their normal purpose and cannot easily be made fit within a reasonable time,
  • they are unsafe, or
  • they would not have been purchased by a reasonable consumer if they had known about the issue.

If a product has a minor problem, we may choose to repair the item rather than provide a refund or replacement.

Nothing in this Returns Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.


Partial Refunds (if applicable)
Partial refunds may be granted (if applicable) in the following situations:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery.


Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a reasonable time.


Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable)
If you have not received a refund yet, please first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company — it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank — there is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale Items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded unless they are faulty or otherwise required to be refunded under Australian Consumer Law.


Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or otherwise required to be exchanged under Australian Consumer Law. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please email us at info@retrospares.com.au and send your item to:

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item was not marked as a gift at the time of purchase, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will be informed of your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

For your protection, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
